Procter Machine Guarding has redeveloped its website so that it is now responsive, presenting users with the optimum layout for a PC, tablet, mobile phone or tablet.

Procter Machine Guarding has redeveloped its website to make it responsive, which will benefit visitors using tablet computers, mobile phones and phablets. The layout and navigation for desktop and laptop computers remain largely unchanged, but people browsing on mobile devices will see a website that is reformatted to suit the screen size, orientation, aspect ratio and resolution. Where appropriate, the navigation is also altered to suit the device.

The responsive website will be of particular benefit to machine designers, production engineers, and health and safety managers, particularly when they are working on site rather than in an office.

As with the previous website, the content embraces all types of standard and bespoke machine guarding: sheet metal guards; mesh guards; polycarbonate guards; stainless steel guards; aluminium guards; modular perimeter guards (steel and aluminium); high-speed roller doors; acoustic enclosures; access platforms, stairways and ladders; and standard guards for workshop machinery such as lathes, milling machines and drills. There are also plenty of free downloads: Guides, White Papers and Calculators relating to guarding standards, the Machinery Directive, CE Marking, risk assessments, safety distances, workshop safety and machine accident investigations. In addition, there is a gallery of photographs and videos, a list of current machine guarding standards, a page about machine safety regulations, and background information about Procter Machine Guarding.
