Quality & Standards
Procter Machine Safety works to a Quality Management System that is certified by NQA as being compliant with the requirements of International Standard ISO 9001:2015. This quality assurance system covers the design, manufacture and installation of machine guards. The following are excerpts from our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Policy Manual.7.0.1 The Quality Policy of this company is formalized and documented in the quality management system contained in the Quality Policy Manual ISO 9001:2015.
Our Mission is to:
“Design, Manufacture and Install Machine Guards that are fully compliant with current standards and that fully meet the requirements of our customers”
7.0.2 It is our policy to design, manufacture, supply and install products that fully meet the specifications, including delivery and installation dates that have been agreed between the customer and our company. This is to ensure that the customer is satisfied in all respects and that internal operational procedures are suited to meet this objective.
7.0.3 This statement applies to our scope which is “Design, manufacture and installation of Machine Guards”(to the specified British Standard, the client’s specification and the relevant safety standards that apply to the Product). We review our systems, processes and workmanship to ensure that we comply with requirements, that continual improvement measures are implemented, that competence is maintained, planning take place and necessary actions taken.
7.0.4 It is our objective through provision of skilled and well managed personnel, to provide an efficient quality management system that our Clients can rely on. Also to ensure that our products and services are supplied to a consistent quality and manufactured to the required specification, we maintain process records to identify and enable us to address any deviations from the required quality standards.
7.0.5 We aim to work safely, within legislative and contractual parameters to meet our customer’s requirements. Specific safety objectives for each year and manufactured to the required specification, we maintain process records to identify and enable us to address any deviations from the required quality standards.
7.0.6 The Management of Procter Brothers Limited – MACHINE GUARDING DIVISION will ensure that this policy and the related objectives are understood. Also that adequate resources and infrastructure are made available, including with then necessary administration to implement and maintain the Policy and achieve the stated quality aims, objectives and competency. If at any time the above are not being achieved, we have, developed procedures to rectify the situation to meet our own needs, and those of our Clients.
7.0.7 The agreed objectives, are regularly reviewed to determine progress together with and corrective actions required. To assist us in achieving our aims and quality standards set, we require and expect from our Clients and suppliers “Total Commitment” and assistance when required.
7.0.8 All employees are encouraged to participate in the improvement and maintenance of the systems in place and to assist with achievement of the stated objectives. They are given training and guidance to ensure that they fully understand their roles within the Quality systems, and the competence expected.
7.0.9 The quality systems are provided to meet the requirements of BSEN ISO 9001:2015 and may be modified to suit other National / International Standards, Codes of Practice and also the clients specifications. These will in no way however negate the minimum requirements.
7.1.0 We will review the quality policy and the quality management system on a regular basis to ensure continuing suitability.
7.1.1 The Materials Quality Controller is the Quality Representative for the Guarding Division. He has the responsibility to establish and maintain the quality management system. He has the authority to identify any quality problems relating to product, process and systems and to initiate, recommend or implement solutions to these problems. In his absence, a Manager will be appointed to deputise.
7.1.2 The quality system laid down in this manual has my full support and all staff are aware of its existence and must adhere to its conditions.
