Machinery Guarding Compliance

All machinery guards designed by Procter come with a Declaration of Conformity, providing customers with the guarantee that their guards comply fully with current machine safety standards.

For details of the current standards see :

It is a common misconception that machine guards should carry a CE mark: this is incorrect. CE marking covers many other aspects of safety (such as control systems) but not guards – only the machines carry CE marks.  Guards supplied for new machines should be provided with a Declaration of Conformity as evidence that they comply with the harmonised standards.
