The following is a list of standards that are relevant to the field of machinery safety. Not all are applicable in every case, and there are specific 'Type C' standards that will be relevant to defined machinery types, but which are excluded from this list for reasons of clarity. A search of the BSI web site should help to track down any of these.

In addition to current standards, the list below includes Published Documents and those standards that have been published in the form of a Draft for Public Comment. While these do not carry the same weight as Current standards, they may prove to be of value to organisations striving to deliver best practice.

Note that some standards are available in kits, the cost of which represents a substantial saving compared with the cost of buying all of the standards individually. These kitted standards are listed at the end.

If several standards are to be purchased, it could be worth becoming a Member of BSI to take advantage of the 50% discount that is available. Otherwise, be aware that standards can also be purchased from Official Distributors such as Pilz.
